Document

A set of information about a specific user (e.g., a Grant Application).

Each page of a document is a form that a user would have to complete.

You can customize your state machine to fit your process. As an example, a document may have 5 possible states:

Un-submitted

Submitted

Processing

Rejected

Accepted

Once an applicant has completed all forms, the document may be submitted and at that point the applicant would no longer be able to modify it.

Your state machine can be customized with your steps and wording as needed.

The system can send e-mails when a document changes states. For example, applicants could receive a confirmation e-mail when their application has been received and will be reviewed.
